This M-43 type jacket is crafted from selvedge herringbone twill, faithfully reproducing the sturdy HBT fabric used in the original military uniform.
Originally adopted by the US military in 1941, the M-43 was developed as a durable and practical uniform for training, general duties, and later combat in tropical climates. This reproduction follows the fourth specification revision, featuring sturdy herringbone twill, iron laurel wreath buttons with domed shanks, and a simplified construction without the gas flap for a cleaner appearance when worn open.
The fabric is vat-dyed, allowing the color to naturally fade with wear and washing, creating a distinctive vintage-inspired patina over time.
