This unique denim jacket features workwear-style sleeves and fabric, inspired by a piece designer Takeshi Ohfuchi wore frequently in his younger days. Positioned between workwear and cowboy wear, the original El Ranchero was first released in 2008.
It was later updated to Version 2 in 2019, and then evolved into Version 3 in 2021, transitioning from a single-pocket to a two-pocket design for enhanced practicality and style.
One of its standout features is the dropped shoulder pattern, inspired by vintage pieces from Stronghold. With a moderately relaxed fit, it serves as a versatile garment—ideal as a main outer layer in spring and autumn, a mid-layer under coats in winter, or even worn as a shirt-like inner layer. A flexible essential that adapts seamlessly to any season.
