In the 1970s, bell-bottoms took the world by storm. Designer Takeshi Ohfuchi also wore them as a boy, marking his first real encounter with fashion. During his later teens, which was deeply influenced by outdoor activities and surfing, he continued to favor flare pants. Drawing from this background, he launched the Flare Series in the early 2000s, which now makes a comeback after nearly 20 years. This new release is an updated version of the 546 Flare—a basic flare model in the Post O’Alls lineup—originally released in 2004 with a fit that sits somewhere between Levi’s bootcut 517 and bell-bottom 646. The silhouette is easy to wear, even for beginners unfamiliar with flare pants.
